He is surprisingly supportive about the pictures...although he discusses how brenda Song supported her and was very mean about her!

Christian groups are demanding that Disney reprimand the tween star.

The Christian Coalition of America (CCA) wants Cyrus to be held accountable for the semi-topless photos she just had published in Vanity Fair.

Michele Combs, a representative of CCA, tells says, "Disney should reprimand her. Miley should say it was a mistake and that kids have to be very careful at such a young age. Kids look up to her. Something needs to be done."

And they want the apology made during a televised press conference!!

Photographer Annie Leibovitz is weighing in on her controversial Vanity Fair photograph of Miley Cyrus, in which the teenager appears to be topless, saying she finds the image "simple" and "beautiful."

"I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted," says Leibovitz in a statement issued Monday. "Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful."

The New York Times has a piece on Miley’s topless photo scandal. The Vanity Fair article was written by Bruce Handy and quotes Miley as saying, “Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought it was really cool. That’s what she wanted me to do, and you can’t say no to Annie.” She also said of the photo, “I think it’s really artsy. It wasn’t in a skanky way.”
